About Us

The Old Library Dental and Implant Centre has established itself amongst the local community for over 30 years and now provides dental services to thousands of people every year.

Dr Dooley, the Clinical Lead, joined the practice in 1993 and in 1998 it moved to its current location in Connaught Avenue. In recent years it has been further developed and improved to provide comprehensive, up to date and modern facilities.

We have increased the number of treatment rooms and have added a CBCT scanner. This has enabled us to expand the treatment options available to our patients that now includes implants, adult orthodontics, facial aesthetics as well as routine general dentistry.

I have only ever received first class treatment and care at The Old Library Dental and Implant Centre. From my dentist, Dr Dooley, through all of the support staff, I cannot praise them highly enough. Only occasionally is it slightly 'painful' - and that's just down to my teeth!

So helpful, approachable and personable. Superb Dentists and Hygienist who is second to none. Reception Team are so human - really helpful - no fobbing off and even took a photograph of a picture and printed it off for me! Always trying to help. Outstanding service would highly recommend.

Been going here for years when is was under other ownership.. new woman seen a couple of times good.. booked in after covid and things getting back to normal to be told to do one ! you have not been here for 20 months mr smith.. useless service and no help.. and im private.. dont mind paying.. got treated like a animal

I booked in for an implant and was quite nervous but everyone put me at ease ,from the very nice friendly receptionist to Pedram the implant specialist ! He made me feel very comfortable and relaxed and today was the completion and I am very happy with the results , I would recommend The Old Library to anyone .

I have recently had an implant and crown fitted by Dr Pedram Hejazifar and I have to say they are excellent.It is the first time I have used this surgery and found everyone to be very professional and friendly.Would not hesitate to recommend especially if you are a nervous patient as I was certainly put at ease throughout.

Wonderful friendly feel to the practice. All of the receptionists are efficient and personable too.My husband is under Mr Michael Dooley who is an absolutely wonderful dentist and very caring. I have recently had some dentistry performed by Pedram and was also delighted by how my treatment went & he made me feel very calm throughout. I would thoroughly recommend either of these dentists.

I visited for the first time yesterday and was very happy with everything. Sharman on reception was very helpful and put me at ease. I am a very nervous patient as I’ve had bad dentists in the past, but when I met Dr Pedram Hejazefar he was so professional, friendly and caring and made me feel reassured. He is an asset to the Old Library Dental Surgery and I highly recommend him, especially if you are dentally phobic like me. I am booked to see the Hygienist next week and I’m not so nervous now. I would not hesitate to recommend this dental surgery to anyone living in the Frinton area as the service they provide is first class.Thank you Dr Pedram for making my first visit a great experience.

Had an appointment today for a broken tooth receptionist very helpful yesterday and as usual Mr Dooley brilliant fixed my front tooth absolutely perfect you’d never know. I have tried other dentists years ago but this is the best dentist I have ever had. Thank you 😀

Michael Dooley and his hygienist Andy have been looking after my teeth for many many years and I’ve always found them both excellentI recently broke one of my front teeth, Mr. Dooley and his excellent office team agreed to see me within a couple of days, within 20 minutes of arriving the tooth was repaired, I couldn’t even tell which one I had actually broken! Just brilliant, thank you Michael Dooley and your team

Everyone was lovely, kind and seemed genuinely interested in helping and making you feel better. My hygienist was lovely, kept me calm and massively reduced my nerves. He explained the whole process of what I was having done, making sure I understood every step. Also gave me good advice on how to keep my teeth healthy. Highly recommend.

My first visit to the Old Library was a couple of weeks ago , having been with my previous dentist for 26years!! Definitely the best dentist I have ever been to. Went on recommendation and I'm so glad I did. The staff are friendly, straight away putting you at ease. Not being a fan of dentists, i approached The Old Library surgery for implants. My experience with them was all good. I have quite a lot of work done and i did not feel a thing. NO pain during or after the treatment. I had a plan drew. I knew what i was paying beforehand and what work needed doing. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Lovely receptionist and the dentist and his assistant were marvellous. I felt assured with them and they always made me feel welcome and at ease. I cannot recommend them enough. Thank you all. They are very good have had a lot of problems this year due to COVID etc nothing is never to much trouble suki will always talk to you on the phone if you have problems and the ladies on reception will are very helpful I have been going here for over twenty years and I can’t fault the service

I have been using Michael Dooley since I was a kid. I'm always greeted with warm smiles from the receptionists who are always very friendly and keen to assist with any queries.
